    Many of you grew to love him at K2 this past summer! I loved getting to know his heart more. Nonetheless this dude rocks and if you haven't downloaded his most recent single go get it on iTunes.     Alright! If you haven't already purchased Rehab by now what are you waiting for? I've been listening to this album all weekend, and I can honestly say this is Lecrae's most complete album yet, from track 1 all the way through to the hidden track! I wish I could say I had a favorite song but I love em' all, so versatile. So I had a difficult time picking the one I would post today, so I went with what title I liked the most, "God is Enough." The more and more I spend time with teenagers, the more and more I hear of the desire for authentic community, friends who will be real, and even a longing for they themselves to be real. So I thought I would dedicate today's song to all those teens that just want to be real. It's only a week old, it's by a guy named Chris August and the title is Want to be Real. Enjoy.

05 Want to Be Real

        I was reading in Exodus chapter 12 and 13 today where it talks about God delivering the Israelites from slavery under Pharoah and the Egyptians. I've heard this story several times, but I've never thought of Joseph's bones like I did today. Let me explain. At the end of Genesis in Chapter 50, Joseph is about to die, but He knows God is still going to fulfill His promised to the Israelites and bring them back to the promise land. So Joseph ask that when God brings them back, which He knows they will, God is always faithful, to bring his bones with them. Well if you read in Exodus 12 you will see that 430 years later God begins to fulfill His promise, but this isn't what grabbed my attention, in Chapter 13 verse 19 it says that Moses grabbed Joseph's bones. Moses never even met Joseph. Moses didn't even know any of his sons, but what I realized is that He knew of Joseph's bones because all the Israelites were clinging to God's promise, they were clinging to the day they were going to march those bones out of Egypt! What hope! What conviction I have to cling to God's promises and trust in His timing not my own.
