Hey. I’m Brian Wang, a pretty simple guy from Texas that loves the Lord. I have been shocked by a lightening strike, bitten twice by a brown recluse spider, appeared in a video game and I’m married to the love of my life!

I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Tx, and attended Purdue University on a football scholarship while I studied Organized Leadership Supervision. While at Purdue, I suffered 4 season ending injuries which led to an end to my career.  Though it was a rough transition, the Lord was establishing my steps toward a lifetime of ministry.

After college, I took an internship with Kanakuk Ministries and traveled the country setting up concerts and outreach events for After Dark and Pure Excitement. This was when I first started to become passionate about ministry. In 2008, I moved to Saint Petersburg, Fl to run a ministry K-Life! Our mission and my job was to transform a youth culture for Christ. I have served as the Area Director for the past 4 years and the Lord has used those years to shape me into who I am today.
While serving in my last year with K-Life I fell in love with my best friend, Autumn. We had known each other for a few years, but it wasn’t until December of 2010 that I knew that she is who my heart had been waiting for. A truly remarkable example of a Proverbs 31 woman! We were engaged on November 6, 2011 and were married April 21, 2012. It was exactly one year and one day from our very first date.

In May of 2012, Autumn and I accepted a job offer to work at the Kanakuk Link Year in Branson, Mo. Link Year’s mission is to empower future leaders to impact the world for Christ through D.R.I.V.E.! It’s the best acronym that describes my job: Discipleship, Relationships, Identity Development, Vision for Life, and Empowering future Leaders. Life on Life ministry is my passion and I’m so excited for this journey my wife and I will begin in Fall 2012.

I joined up with my best friend Adam Donyes in 2008 to co-author his personal blog, and make it our own. Our goal is to encourage leadership, inspire change, and to serve as a collaboration for new ideas and dreams.
