The Monday Mindset

Lord teach me to lead a life of prayer, as well as a life of courage. May my knees be worn and my posture brought low before You. When I think of how I want my own children to remember me it is as a man who sought You first above all other ambitions. Who chased the Cross and lived life against the grain of the cultural shift. Mold my heart Lord according to the glory of Your will, that I might become a prayer warrior who is consumed with heavenly things and not by things of this world. Keep my footsteps far from evil, may the grotesque thoughts flee from my mind as I set them on things above where Christ is seated at Your right hand. I long to live a life of prayer for no other reason than to align my will with Thine. I know that there is nothing more productive I can do throughout the day then pray, yet my flesh runs towards busyness and noise. Teach me, for there is great wisdom in leading a life of prayer, for a life of prayer brings me to my knees, and perhaps there is no place low enough for me to go to humble myself before you enough. A life without prayer is a life without power. May Your power rest upon me, and if it be Thy will may that power be used to advanced Your kingdom for You and Your glory alone! “Hear my cry, O God. And listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to You, when my heart grows faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” (Psalm 62:1-2)
