Nintendo Sixty-FOOOOOOOOOOUR
I saw this video the other day and couldn’t stop laughing at thes kids! What a joy it must have been to give them the Nintendo 64. I mean look at the passion and the excitement that they have in their eyes! I still laugh right now writing about these two kids, and the genuine excitement I see. Then we go to the second gift that the boy is opening up, while his sister grabs the Nintendo 64 box in her hands and hugs it while saying “My Dream”. As he unwraps this next gift he raises his voice again saying “A NINTENDO SIXTY-FOUR…..AND A remote control car…”. It’s obvious he could care less about the remote control car, but he still wants to show some sort of gratefulness to the one who gave it to him. Imagine you being the one giving the Nintendo 64 to the kids, and how great you would feel after that reaction. Then imagine if you were the one giving the remote control car to them. Both these gifts were free, they did nothing for it! Yet, they obviously enjoyed one more than the other. It reminds me sometimes how we react to things of this world, and our relationship with Christ…..
Today, don’t let the things of this world overshadow what the Lord has done for you. We are encouraged in Romans 12:1 ‘Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind….’
What is overshadowing your love and relationship with Christ today?
